Ivo Stankov
has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician
and orchestral leader in countries including the UK,
Spain, Italy, Holland, France, Bulgaria. Alumni of Dobri
Hristov School of Music and Arts in Varna, later he
graduated at the Royal Conservatoire in Madrid and
specialized at the Royal Academy of Music in London with
Erich Gruenberg. He is a recipient of many prizes and
awards including the Craxton Memorial Trust Award,
London, the Honours Diploma Award from the Royal
Conservatoire in Madrid, 11th International Competition
J. Brahms in Austria and Chamber Music International
Contest in Lyon, France. I. Stankov made his solo debut
at the Royal Albert Hall, aged fourteen, as a soloist
with the New English Orchestra. As a recitalist he has
performed in a number of the most prestigious venues in
London. He has recorded on numerous occasions for
Spanish National TV and Radio, as well as for the BBC,
London.
The Bulgarian soprano
Vania Vatralova-Stankov was born in
Varna. She graduated from the Dobri Hristov School of
Music and Arts with both violin and singing, with the
highest qualifications. She continued her studies in
violin and singing at the Royal Conservatoire of Music
and the Royal Opera School in Madrid respectively. A
regular guest of international festivals, she has also
been a prize winner at various contests – Donizetti
Prize from the Walsh National Opera Studio, she has been
finalist of the Caruso Competition in Milan, the Logrono
Competition in Spain, Alfredo Kraus on the Canary
Islands and Pedro La Virgen Competition in Spain. Vania
has performed under critical acclaim in many concerts
and recitals trough the UK, Spain, Holland and Bulgaria.
In London she performed with the London Gala Orchestra
and Walsh National Opera Studio. She has a number of
recordings among them a CD with an early music of
Misterio de Elche, part of the UNESCO’s Patrimony of the
Humanity Treasures and presented it in concerts in
Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Alicante, London.
Fiammetta Tarli was born in Pisa.
She graduated at the Florence Conservatoire. Winner of
the 1st Prize of the National Piano Competition Muzio
Clementi in Florence, Pietro Napoli in Livorno (three
times), Pasquale Cafaro in Galatina, J. S. Bach in
Sestri Levante and the International Piano Competition
in Stresa. In 2001 she took her degree in Foreign
Languages and Literatures at the University of Pisa with
specialisation in German Literature and Musicology. She
plays regularly in Italy, Germany and the UK both as a
soloist and as an accompanist: she has won the 1st prize
as an accompanist in the Jugend Musiziert competition in
Münster (Germany). In 2003 she made her debut in
Bulgaria as a soloist.The same year she took her Master
of Musicology at King’s College London. At present she
is doing a PhD at the same institution. Among her future
engagements is a CD of piano works by Schumann for Gega
News.
