THE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
OF THE BULGARIAN NATIONAL RADIO
is one of the leading orchestras not only in Bulgaria,
but also on the Balkans. The recordings constitute an
essential element of the Orchestra’s activity. The Radio
Music Library has a vast collection of recordings of the
Symphony Orchestra with the best Bulgarian soloists and
world-famous conductors and soloists. Special credit for
the professional and artistic growth of the Symphony
Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio is given to
the conductors Vasil Stefanov, Alexander Vladigerov,
Vasil Kazandjiev, Milen Nachev and since 2003 Rosen
Milanov. The Orchestra has had successful concert tours
in South Korea, France, Spain, Germany, Italy. Of
special interest are its participations in Europalia in
Brussels (2002), Music festival, supported the Olympic
games in Athens (2004), European tour with Vesselina
Kasarova as a soloist in Germany, Spain and Netherlands
(2008), including concerts in Herculessaal in Munich and
Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In the year of 2001 the

for high achievements in musical and dance art.
Equally at home in the
classical and contemporary repertoire,
MARK KADIN
has quickly established himself as one of Russia’s most
exciting young conductors. Now in his fourth season as
Music Director and Principal Conductor of the
Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra, Mark Kadin has
maintained a regular relationship with many European
orchestras and recently made his debut in Australia.
After graduating at the Russian Academy of Music in
Moscow (1987-1993), he set out on his career by
exploring contemporary music. His career took a new turn
in 1997, when the Russian conductor and pianist Mikhail
Pletnev suggested that he should work permanently with
the Russian National Orchestra. From 1999 to 2003, Kadin
was associate conductor with the legendary Moscow
Virtuosi Orchestra, which he took on a number of
successful tours. Kadin’s guest conducting appearances
took him to the International East Anglian Summer Music
Festival with London City Chamber Orchestra in 2006, and
earlier to the Festival International de Colmar in
France with Russian National Orchestra. Other guest
engagements have included the Russian Philharmonic
Orchestra and the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, as
well as orchestras in Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia,
Lithuania, Turkey, the Philippines, Macedonia, Slovakia
and others. Building on his international success, in
2007 Kadin made his debut in Australia, China and Korea. |
