THE ACADEMIC PIANO TRIO was established three years ago by prof. Stefan Popov a teacher of long standing at the GUILDHALL SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND DRAMA in London.

The young musicians are currently very successful and full scholarship students at one of the most prestigious European music institutions GSMD.

They have won prizes and awards from many national and international competitions and participated at international festivals and master classes in UK, Austria, Italy, Spain, Greece, Israel, Slovenia and Bulgaria.

The Trio is well known and has had successful concerts at the most famous halls of London.

The young musicians are special guests at European cultural forums and they have got invitations for participation in Europe as well as in America.

For their recital in Bulgaria Hall, dedicated to the admission of Bulgaria to the EU and the recital at Apollonia Festival of Arts’07 the Trio was nominated for the most prestigious Bulgarian award Crystal Lyre in the Chamber ensembles category.
