Violin Competition 2021

The Violins of Prof. Mincho Minchev Fund

The competition aims to stimulate the development of young talents giving them the right to use master instruments from the fund of Prof. Mintcho Mintchev within one year.

Conditions for participation

The competition is open for children who reside and study in Bulgaria.

It is held in one round on 21 July 2021 at 10:00 in three groups.

The participants shall prepare a freely chosen programme that should include two contrasting works.

Group I – for ½ size violin – shall prepare a programme up to 8 minutes
Group II – for ¾ size violin – shall prepare a programme up to 10 minutes
Group III – for full-size violin size – shall prepare a programme up to 15 minutes

Application form
Application for participation in the competition are accepted online  by 25 June 2021.

Jury
The Jury of the competition features violin pedagogues and performers chaired by Prof. Mincho Minchev.

Prize fund
The prize fund consists of 12 violins – three ½ size violins, four ¾ size violins and five full-size violins. Violins are granted to the winners for use within one year period.
