Tatiana Koleva lives and works in the Netherlands. Actively involved in the promotion of contemporary music and art forms all over the world she is one of the most promising young musicians in the field of percussion and contemporary music. Her performances leave the audience spellbound with intriguing rhythms and surprising musical developments. She has played concerts and given clinics throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, Jordan and Mexico.
Tatiana regularly performs as a soloist, in ensembles and experimental music formations such as musikFabrik, productions of Filmmuseum Amsterdam, ASKO-Schoenberg Ensembles, Orkest de Volharding, etc.
She is one of the founding members of the Electra Ensemble for new music, and performs in duos with the saxophonist Rutger van Otterloo and the organist Jan Hage.
Prizewinner of the Kranichsteiner, Darmstadt and Gaudeamus, Tatiana works extensively with composers from all over the world such as Louis Andriessen, David Lang, Jacob ter Veldhuis, David Dramm, Yannis Kyriakides, Christopher Fox and many others. Her recent CD was released in 2008 featuring the duo Koleva/van Otterloo and her forthcoming DVD will be release in 2010. Tatiana Koleva was awarded the Musician of the Year prize 2007 for her artistic contribution to the European cultural integration of Bulgaria
