Yordanova and Kyurkchiev are laureates of several prestigious, long-standing International Competitions - Absolute First Prize winners at the 22nd "Rome" International Piano Competition , Rome , Italy; First Prize winners at the 15th TIM International Competition , Paris , France; Third Prize winners at the 5th "Allegro Vivo" International Piano Competition , San Marino (all in 2012) and Third Prize winners at XVIII International "F.Schubert" Competition for piano duos , Jesenik , Czech Republic (2013).  Yordanova & Kyurkchiev are also laureates with several Special Prizes at the 3rd "S. Taneev" International Chamber Music Competition , Kaluga/Moscow , Russia (2008).

The Duo made its debut at The 2007 "Young Music Talents" International Festival in Sofia , Bulgaria , captivating the attention of the audience throughout with profound sincerity and spontaneous interpretation.
