Viliana Valtcheva was born in 1980 at Varna/Bulgaria.
In 1999 she successfully completed the Varna Secondary Musical School “Dobry Christov” as a pianist. During her education in Varna, Miss Valtcheva won valuable prices as a pianist at the competition for Czech music in Varna (1994), for young talents in Sofia (1996) and for German music in Bourgas (1998).
In 2001 she graduated the Bern Conservatoire and in 2004 she graduated the Higher Musical school in Neuchatel obtaining a piano accompaniment diploma. In 2010 she finished with her successful education in Switzerland by taking a master degree in opera and symphonic music conducting at the Luzern Conservatoire under the wise supervision and teaching of professor Ralf Weikert. In 2011 she completed a master class of musicology in the Bern Conservatoire.
In 2009 Miss Valtcheva took part in a conductor`s competition under the patronage of the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra. In 2010 she took part at the final stage of another conductor`s competition in the city of Cadaques/Spain.
Meanwhile she had a chance to participate in different performances conducted by the famous conductors as Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez and Bernard Haitink.
Miss Vatcheva actually starting her conductor`s activity when she was 21 years old starting with amateur choirs and orchestras.
Inspired by her passion to the classical music, she continued to develop her conducting abilities. Since 2004 her stage performances as a conductor have gradually progressed. She already has conducted the Luzern symphonic orchestra, has hired as an assistant - conductor within the Wagner festival in Wels/Austria, the Brandenburg symphony orchestra, Haydn Sinfonietta Wien, Johannesburg symphony orchestra, Nordbiom orchestra in Chech republic, Baden-Baden philharmonic orchestra.
Since 2013 Miss Valtcheva has been often invited at the Luzern and Zurich opera houses as an assistant - conductor and pianist.
In 2008 and 2010 Miss Valtcheva was approved to receive a scholarship for further education at both foundations Zeno Karl Shindler Geneve and Richard Wagner-Bayreuth (2014).
At the beginning of 2014 Miss Valtcheva was invited by maestro Boryslav Ivanov - Chief Art Director, and Mrs. Daniela Dimova - Director, to conduct Varna opera. After several glory performances on this stage, Miss Valtcheva is already a permanent member of Varna opera.
For less than an year, she did conduct some of the most famous classical works. Under her baton, the spectators enjoyed Don Giovanni of Mozart, Traviata and Il Trovatore of Verdi, Pagliacci of Leoncavallo, Madama Butterfly of Puccini and the very complicated creation of Giordano - Andrea Chenier.
In January 2015, Miss Valtcheva completed and performed with a great success on the Varna stage the famous Tchaikovsky`s ballet “The Nutcracker”.
Analyses and opinions of the critics published in the mass medias in respect to the above said performances of Miss Valtcheva, predict and expect a glory future for this young conductor.
