Since its inception in 2005, the SONIC ART Quartet
has quickly established itself among the first rank of
young chamber music formations.
The ensemble has won
numerous competitions, including German Music
Competition, International Competition of Contemporary
Chamber Music in Poland, Bergamo Classic Music Award and
European Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe'09.
Concert tours have
taken the quartet throughout Europe, Asia and the USA.
They regularly perform
at important international festivals such as
Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Cambridge Summer
Music Festival, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Music Festival…
The ensemble focuses
on original works for classical saxophone quartet and
contemporary music as well.
So working in
coopåration with composers such as S. Gubaidulina, G.
Katzer, F. Lévy, Olga Neuwirth and St. Schleiermacher
plays an important role in developing new pieces. |
