Lin Qing

Qing LIN is a Chinese oboist and also is a regular recitalist.He studied as a bachelor student at Xi’an Conservatory of Music in 2001. In 2005 Qing was awarded a full scholarship to study at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where he completed a Professional diploma. In 2011, Qing achieved his first Master degree at Haute école de Musique de Genève where he studied with Maurice Bourgue. During the same year, Qing was admitted to Haute école de Musique de Lausanne, now he is in the class of Jean Louis Capezzali for Master in Soloist. Meantime, Qing teaches currently at Xi'an Conservatory of Music, China. Qing has being invited by many conservatories for masterclasses and concerts.
In 2012, Qing was invited as a soloist by Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra for performing Mozart oboe concerto.
In 2006, Qing was the principal oboist in Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo. During that time, Qing was invited by Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as a principal oboist in Japan.
Since 2010, Qing has being invited frequently by Macao Orchestra as a guest principal oboist.
Qing was as a Principal oboist in orchestras where he worked with Sir Simon Rattle, Mr. Valery Gergiev. He used to be the Principal oboist at Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2011, Qing won the 2nd prize at ADRS International Oboe Competition, Thailand.
In 2010, Qing was the Semifinalist at Concours de Genève, Switzerland,
In 2009, Qing won the 3rd prize at IDRS 2009 Gillet-Fox Oboe Competition in Birmingham, UK.
In 2006, Qing was the finalist at The 8th International Oboe Competition in Karuizawa, Japan.
In 2004, Qing won the 2nd prize at The Asian Youth Music Competition, Hong Kong.
In 2005, Qing won the 2nd prize at The Second Concerto Competition for Young Instrumentalist in Beijing, China.
In 2002, Qing won the 1st prize at The Chamber Music Competition in Xi’an, China.
In 2010, Qing successfully organized an International Oboe Festival in Xi’an, China, which involved outstanding oboists from all over the world, 200 musicians, publishers, recording companies, sponsors and fund raising.
